Im Back!!!!

I haven't blogged like forever i am so glad to be back, i've forgotten about this website...woops haha.

Nastia has withdrawn from the U.S selection process and she will not go to the 2009 world championships in London because she doesn't feel prepared but the 2012 olympics in London is still her major goal (theres nothing to worry about Nastia fans) :)

Also Samantha Peszek has withdrawn fron the selection process because she feels its not going to happen with an injured sholder who is calling for surgery, oh well she's going to compete for UCLA next year... GOOD LUCK SAM!!!!!!!!!! This opens the door for the last spot for the 2009 world championship team i beleive that is going to be:

Bridget Sloan: Because she has competed solidly all year long and she is the US national Champion and a good contendor for the AA title :D

Ivana Hong: Because she has gotten stronger and stronger since she moved to WOGA and she could he a great medal contendor

Rebecca Bross: Because she is an AA gymnast and she has waited for an oppatunity like this longer than anyother gymnast who has moved into the senior ranks

Chelsie Memmel: Because of her experiance and she had a bad olympic games last year... i think she deserves another chance to be the best in the world again :D

alternate: Kayla Williams because i just think she is a superstar and i think its too soon for her to be noticed after just coming out of level 10 :)

Diving: Tom and Max Struggle in Final

Tom Daley and Max Brick finished woth a disappointing finish in ninth place in yesterdays syncronised final and yes China came first trailed by the USA who finished second and Cuba finished in third. And another thing Toms dad (Robert Daley) has been annoyed by the press saying that he broke into the press conference by taking the guards hostage to get into the press conference??? my god the press do come up with a load of crap these days. I mean come on Toms dad would never do that he just found the door open and walked in and asked for a cuddle, shore Tom may have been a little bit embarrassed but that is what parents do they get emotional when their son or daughter acheive something big (duh get it right) but anyway Tom had an amazing week and it looking forward for a holiday in Spain in a week also with his Parents Debbie and Robert Daley and his two younger brothers William and Ben.

Diving: Finalists

Max Brick and Tom Daley made the mens syncronised final on the 10m platform today finishing 10th, the chinese pairing as always finished their prelim round in 1st so all the finalists will be trailing the chinese into the final, Tom and Max did good but not great the syncro was nice but Max's entrys were a bit off after a couple of rounds, Tom had a bit of a splashy entry in the 2nd or 3rd round either all then he had his entrys spot on through out the rest of the compotition, the entrys going into the water is ment to have no splash at all this is called a rip entry because when they enter the water it sounds like someone has ripped a sheet of paper and the divers don't have to wait to see the replays to see if they did a rip entry because when they do it the water sorts off pulles the diver deeper into the water and the audience and the judges shouldn't be able to see the diver when it does a rip entry they get extra marks for doing a rip entry :) When Tom returns back to Plymouth on Monday their will he a homecomming parade on that Friday for him that the council have organised, GOOD LUCK 4 TOMMOROW TOM AND MAX!!!!!!!!

Gymnastics: Vannessa Farrari won't cpmpete at worlds

Oh dear: Ever since Vanessa Ferrari stunned the gymnastics community with victory at the 2006 World Championships, it’s been a tough road …
Most recently, Ferrari underwent a short surgery to repair damage to her ankle. According to the Italian Gymnastics Federation, everything went well (see press release here).
Since the Achilles was not involved, recovery should be fairly swift. She’ll be in a cast for 20 days and crutches for another 20 after that. Still, she may not be prepared for Worlds.
This comes after Ferrari won her fourth Italian championship in late May. (She would have had five in a row if she hadn’t been overtaken by Lia Parolari last year.)

She wasn't in full shape at europeans this year though, only simple skills and her ankle was still heavly taped up well get well soon:)

Diving: Tom Daley wins gold in Florida event

Tom Daley has claimed his first title of 2009 in the men's 10 metre platform at the FINA Grand Prix in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Daley, who is still just 14 years old, saw off Olympic silver medallist Luxin Zhou and last year's World Cup champion Sascha Klein in the final to take gold.
Daley's winning total of 554.90 was based on his penultimate dive, a backwards three-and-a-half somersault tucked which prompted across-the-board 10s from the judges.
The Great Britain squad now have three silvers and Daley's gold to their name.
yes 10's across the board...wow that makes 1 gold for mens 10 metre indervidual and 1 silver for 10 metre syncro:P

Diving: Tom Daley and Max Brick take silver in US

Great Britain diving pair Tom Daley and Max Brick won silver in the 10m synchronised event in Fort Lauderdale.
The duo were leading the competition after four dives but were finally overhauled by Americans David Boudia and Thomas Finchum.
But they finished comfortably ahead of Canadian pair Reuben Ross and Riley McCormick with a score of 423.48.
Daley, 14, teamed up with Brick in April after splitting from Beijing Olympics partner Blake
Aldridge.
After scoring well through the rounds, an untidy fifth dive, a back two-and-a-half somersault one and a half twist pike, allowed their American rivals to steal a lead they never surrendered.
But the Britons will be pleased with a score that was a 20-point improvement on their debut performance at the Fina World Series in Sheffield.
Daley and Aldridge scored 408.48 in finishing eighth in the Olympic final.

Well they did better than they did in Sheffield but silver medal is great :P
